Me-Dan Forum Distributes the Sixth Wave Assistance for Rohingya Refugees in Sittwe

JAKARTA (Jurnalislam.com) – The concern of the Indonesian peopl for their Rohingya Muslim brothers continues to flow. As of September 21 to 30, 2017, 6 waves of aid have been channeled through the Me-DAN Forum Indonesia team for Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar Sittwe.

Funds collected from donations of Indonesian Muslims are distributed in the form of food for 250 families. Help was distributed on Saturday (30/9/2017).In this the distribution of the sixth wave, Secretary General Forum Me-DAN, Sunaryo admitted experiencing obstacles such as weather and security factors.

“For the channeling this time took a little longer than usual, due to security conditions and weather that does not allow for the distribution of aid,” said Sunaryo to Journalistlam.com, Monday (02/09/2017).

Sunaryo calls on the entire Humanitarian Institute to continue to distribute assistance to Rohingya refugees residing in an isolated, non-regenerated refugee camp.

“We invite all NGOs and Humanitarian agencies from anywhere to also try to penetrate the boundaries of isolation and non-register camps because the humanitarian conditions are very alarming experienced by ethnic Rohingya there,” he concluded.
