JAKARTA (Jurnalislam.com) – Chairman of the National Movement of Fatwa Guards (GNPF MUI) Ustadz Bachtiar Nasir conveyed that the law enforcement justice movement became one of the GNPF’s concerns.
However, it insists it does not advocate other than Islamic clerics and activists who are exposed to legal issues.
“Of course not everything we have to intervene with. Our concern is to defend Islamic scholars and activists, especially those related to the issue of Islamic Defense Action 1 and beyond, “said the man who is blessedly addressed the UBN to the Islamic News Agency (INA) at the AQL Center Office, Jakarta, on Friday (14/07/2017).
Bachtiar explains that there are cases of politics, criminals, or other cases that have nothing to do with ulama or related to the Islamic Defense Act, certainly not being a GNPF domain.
“Because GNPF even has a lawyer but GNPF is not an advocacy institution for all cases,” he said.
