JAKARTA (Jurnalisman.com) – The Supreme Court declared to the representatives of the GNPF-MUI delegation in the sympathetic action 55 that it would not be interfered with by anyone, including himself.
This was expressed by Coordinator of GNPF-MUI advocate Kapitra Ampera after meeting with the Secretary General of the Supreme Court.
“The Supreme Court guarantees that the panel of judges will not be intervened with by anyone including by himself,” Kapitra said in front of MA Office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara Jakarta, Friday (05/05).
The second guarantee from the Supreme Court, Kapitra continued, is the Supreme Court guarantees the panel of judges to determine the verdict of the blasphemy case with the accused Ahok based on the facts of the trial and the values of justice.
The statement was the response of the Supreme Court after 12 representatives of the sympathetic Action 55 met the Secretary General of the Supreme Court.
“It’s a guarantee given by the Supreme Court,” Kapitra told the Islamic News Agency (INA), a news agency initiated by the Jurnalis Islam Bersatu (JITU).
Tens of thousands of Muslims joined the 55/day sympathetic Action today. this action was in order to support the independence of judges who handle cases of blasphemy that drags on with Ahok.
The panel of judges is scheduled to read a verdict on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
