BANDUNG (Jurnalislam.com) – Thousands of New Muslims attended the gathering of converts in Bandung Raya at the TSM Mosque, Sunday (04/23/2017).
TSM mosque has the capacity to accommodate about 700 visitors but because the number of converts in attendance, they also cumpled in the yards and surrounding visinity of the mosque. Included in the event was Ustaz Felix Siauw and he gave a sermon.
“I’m not sure about the number of converts in attendence but the sheer volume was beyond the capacity of the TSM mosque, “said the committee of the Muallaf (converts) Muayaf Bandung Raya as quoted by ‘Republika’.
The sheer volume of the congregation, he said, was because many converts were from the public population “We held the ‘friendship of converts event ‘ because we want to embrace the converts, to ensure they do not to walk alone and fragmented.
So they can embrace all aspects, “he said. He also added, the purpose of this event is because it wants to support the new converts who are spreading out in the city of Bandung.
So we are enjoining ‘ukhuwah’ (family values and friendship) among our fellow converts. “This is the first time we had an open event for converts which was open to the public,” he concluded.
